Not sure if right place..... Wiring
not sure if this is the one for the external coil wire. I found this wire that I had laying around from my msd wires. I was trying to use it for a external coil wire for msd. Is it possible and how do you put the cap fittings on the end of the wires??? The gray on in the pic is the one I been using ,but I thought I would try to use the red one. Thanks

So, you have custom MSD wires that came preterminated, and the coil wire did not come preterminated?
I have never bought MSD wires for a 4-cylinder, but I used them on all of my Chevys, and for the Chevys, none of the wires come preterminated. Putting the terminals on is not difficult.
1) Figure out what your final length should be. Then take off 1/2" for the terminal. Measure the wire and circumcise this point, though the silicone and reinforcing thread.
2) Cut though the wire another 3/4" from this point and pull the cover off of the circumcised portion.
3) Bend the exposed core over the wire and place the terminal on.
4) With pliars, push the flat ends of the terminal together to capture the wire, then bend both inward and down. Try to get the terminal to cut into the cover a bit.
5) Now smear some of the dialectric grease on the boot, and push it on. This takes some muscling.
Now the wire is terminated.
I'm not sure which of the terminals you will use, it depends on the type of coil you have.
