Default Is not running an o2 sensor possible?

So i bought an eg with a swapped b-sereis motor. It has hondata s300 running a stock type r map. Anyways, i went underneath the car tonight and found that there is no o2 sensor. Is this possible? How does the car run? I then asked the kid i bought it from and he said he never had one on there. Is this possible? Is it bad? I dont understand how it can run without one. Any explanations would be great. Also, the car is not throwing a check engine light. Thanks a lot for any help.

The 02 only works during part throttle anyway. It adjusts the AFRs slightly due to temp change, humidity, etc. Your tuner can set parameters for an 02 sensor or in some cases, delete it entirely. It is not recommended for cars that see winter or severe climate change though

You can disable the closed-loop feedback and the oxygen sensor heater in the software.

The engine can run fine without oxygen sensor correction if the base map and other correction factors are calibrated well.

If the base map and other correction factors aren't dialed in well enough, having the oxygen sensor feedback turned on can make the car run like total crap. It's probably just as well that it's turned off.

when the CEL comes on for the oxygen sensor it is running in closed loop.....so yes it is possible, **** my integra got better gas milage running in closed loop with the CEL on because my 02 was fucked and i didn't feel like replacing it haha.
