Car was running good making 10psi but now its only boosting til 5psi .. Pretty sure there are no leaks.. I've checked over the couplers they all seem good .. The only thing i've done under the hood is I took the air filter off the turbo until I get a new one.. (thing was crazy dirty, looked like it wouldnt get air at all).. I put a screen on until I can get another cone for it

 

Check for exhaust leaks.

 

exhaust wouldnt have anything to do with it, has to be a coupler, u can run open down pipe and still boost. might be a tear in there somewhere

 

i think what he meant by exhaust leak is a exhaust leak pre-turbo

BUt I'm with you it's probably a coupler or a vac line.

 

check your manifold. i have found numerous leaks from hoses being cracked/blown off/just not tight
