Default not going into gear

hey fellaz. i've done a search and it is temperarly out of service. lease thats what my computer says. but anyways i was driving today and my tranny was making a chatering noise. like it was dragging some kind of metal under car. all of a sudden the shifter poped out of 2nd and it would no longer go into gear. we coasted the car to the side while it still made the chattering noise. it did this b4 when i first swaped my motor in there (d16z6) and it was an axle that poped out becuase my cusin didnt push it in far enough. this dont look like the same problem because the shifter would not go into any gear except 3rd and 4th. we put a 6puck clutch in there 3days ago. and i hav a greddy kit in there. im going to take the tranny out tomorow and take a look. any feedback and advice would be apriciated thank you.

sounds like you broke the fork in the tranny an the synchro is shot... sorta sounds like metal bouncing in the tranny i bet there is even metal in the tranny fluid or the tranny fluid looks like diamond flakes.

pchris metal was indeed in the tranny. the fork was'nt the problem. we took the tranny apart and it was my 1st gear. jthe theet was all ripped off in chunks.. there was a leak in the tranny and the tranny fluid came out. weird, i think my other helper forgot to thightn it. just finish putting my extra tranny in there and its running the road again. but im gunna change the tranny fluid tommorow. should i get anything in perticular?

put it in through the fill plug till it starts to come out. or you can do it through the VSS and just put the specified amount in. 1.9 quarts IIRC correct me if im wrong, i always just put two in
