NOS with JRSC 8lb?
I've seen it done, It's all in the tuning of the car. A kid down here in Fl used to do it on a single cam vtec and ran 12.5 all day. He was featured in Sport compact. If u can get you car tuned do it.
I'm thinking about going JRSC with the 8lb pulley and eventually go NOS. I have a 2k GSR and was wonderin what kind of times i would be runnin with good tuning. Is it a good idea with stock internals? Oh yea..which sport compact car issue was that in?
I honestly wouldn't recommend it. I mean 8psi then another 50 shot of nos? Sure it would cool down the motor/sc but I don't think it can handle it. I only heard of people doing a 20-35 shot with a jrsc, and they still get great results. Also could you do 100 shot of nos on stock internals??? even if you did they wouldn't last very long, would they?

I ran a 120hp shot direct port in a bone stock B16A without any problems whatsoever. SO whoever is going to tell you that it can't handle is wrong. The motor had 50k miles and i sprayed it all day long on the street with 100hp shot. I ran 120 at the track with race fuel. Oh on street tires the car was basically useless it would spin every gear with ease. But on a 22" slick the car was impressive.
The car ran a 12.3 @ 108. Not to shabby for a bone stock B16 in a civic.

I would suggest a 35 wet shot from NX. That way you will get the additional fuel you need to burn to support the breakdown of the nitrous oxide. 35 isn't that much but will probably feel like a 50 with the blower.

I talked to Magnuson about using a wet set-up on mine. Durning the consevation, he mentioned that the "teflon powder coating". Used on the rotors themselves, had a tendeancy to start chipping off. However, the rest of the charger was safe bearings, ect....
Sooo, if your going to go wet, do the direct port, if you do not want to take a "chance" of screwing up the sc...
Some peeps will not believe this... I suggest they do the research first like I did, to find out for themselves. Instead of passing on: "it's alright to do this.... because JR says "NOT" too....

Go for the 100hp direct port NOS.
oh yeah... now THAT is a waste of money cause then you'll spend DOUBLE on fixing up your engine!

A Small, Wet shot would be impressive for lowering the already sky-high intake charge of the JRSC. Direct Port wouldn't be what your looking for, because the smallest shot is a 80shot (20 shot per jet * 4). If you used a 20-40shot Wet, You will like the results, and it shouldnt hurt anything with proper tuning.

Ok guys you need to realize something about nos. Im sort of an NOS junkie so i know a few things about using it. (not inhaling, LOL)
Your better off using a dry shot vs. wet (single fogger).
The reason: you will not get equal distribution of fuel/nos in each cylinder.
So for small shots your best bet is a dry setup.
With Direct port you get equal distribution in all cylinders and this makes it the best setup for HP applications. The only drawback is like suprdave said you can't use it for small hp shots. I recommend you use it at 100hp.
And for the guy who doesn't believe that a bone stock B16 with 100hp direct port won't run low 12's "are you willing to put money on that"?
If any of you guys remember there was an 89 black hatchback about 4 years ago at e-town & atco with no rear bumper running low 12's. That was my car!

first post!
what about a 50 shot running an 8 lb JRSC

if your gonna do all that then get: pistons, rods, 10 lb pulley, and a 50-70 shot. your blower might not last a long time, but you'll be fast. i think VaporTrail has tuned a pretty fast s/c with nos. im him.
Thats what I was thinking I Work for an Acura dealership and some of my best friends are top Techs there. I can get the labor for pizza and beer.
as far as lasting a while I only want to spray at the track which would only be maybe five times a year.
