Default JRSC + NAWWS = good OR bad?

a friend of mine has a b16 in his civic. hes runnin a NX 70 shot. he got a good deal on a JRSC and decided to pick one up. hes thinkin about usin a 35 shot to go with the JRSC.

the thing is... what good and bad things should be expected from runnin naawws with a supercharger? i guess he has heard that runnin the NX 35 shot kit would be "doubled" with the JRSC (same as the power of a 70 shot). what kind of factors are comin into play with this type of setup?

also, NX claims that with a 50 shot... you get around the equivalent of a horsepower per shot of naawwwwss. this correct?

yes, NX rates their 'shots' realistically

Well the nitrous does act as an intercooler for the supercharger and that's the missing link to a jrsc, that's probably why you heard it will get much more power from a 35 shot, although I don't know if it would actually be doubled. I think with a jrsc your suppose to use a dry setup not wet, if it was a wet setup its like suppose to ruin the s/c. I don't know anything about nitrous, but the people that use it with jrsc gets very good results, although if your friend got a jrsc for drag racing, he should have spent his money on a good turbo setup. However if speed is what he's looking for with a jrsc, nitrous is a great setup, I just hope he has traction.

if you're running a dry setup, you should be ok. the supercharger won't really care if its pushing n2o or plain old air.

i am trying to think if the suddenly cold charge would hurt the supercharger in any way, i dont really think so, its a friggin stout piece. plus the cooling effect makes metal contract, which would help minimize wear...

my guess is that the key to JRSC + NAWS is ...TUNING...as in...dead nuts on tuning. you've got 2 power adders. make them play nice with your motor with ample fuel.

the N2O does not have any corrosive effect on the supercharger blades. the problem with the JRSC is heat. Heat causes metal to expand. If the s/c blades expand, they blow their epoxy coating off and that is bad. there is discussion that the sudden extremely cold burst combined with the extreme heat would cause problems, but i really dont see that happening. and typically when adding N2O to a JRSC'd application, 35 shot = 70 hp.
