Default What do you think of used JRSC & Nitrous instead of turbo?

I was thinking of getting a used JRSC to run @ 9lbs for like 1300-1500, having my block sleeved, piston & rods($2,000) and then run like 100 shot wet nitrous kit. I think this will be around the same price as completing my drag III setup but will be a lot faster. What do you guys think? What should I look for when buying a used supercharger, and worst case situation I get a bad JRSC what does a rebuild cost?

A 100 shot nitrous?! That's a lil extreme, esp with a JRSC.

Just get the turbo kit and build from there. You can always raise the boost to get more HP. I would hate to try and tune a JRSC with a 100 shot nitrous. 50 maybe. But definitely not 100.

Its possible to run 100psi with internals and direct port but through your intake Just asking to take it deep.

Well, I wasn't sure if running a direct port w/JRSC was okay to do? I'd know it's a much better alternative especially with such a big shot! Also why would tunning be really bad, I plan on using an MSD ingintion to retard ingition w/ the JRSC and could use a Jacobs mastermind to retard ingnition more when I use the nitrous. Wouldn't I just set up fuel to run w/ the JRSC and the nitrous wet kit would supply the rest of the fuel when I use it. What do you guys think?

The reason I was considering this route instead of turbo is becasue the time I buy the Drag III for $3K plus all the other stuff like boost controller, turbo timer, some standalone such as hondata for another 1K then sleeved piston, rods, for another 2K. I know I'll need things such as injectors and ingiont no mater what route I go so that's not that big of a deal. I think I'd be cheaper and I think just as fast or faster with JRSC and something along the lines of 100shot?

its wet and in vapor. Vapor collects on your blades and with such a high shot you need this to go in even.

So, do you think this is a good idea if I got used JRSC and a high direct port shot w/ a rebuild bottom end? Some people are telling me not to buy a used JRSC, they say I'm just asking for problems?
