Default is it normal... split second hesitation on a shift?

just as the title states... sometimes when I try to speed shift I get a split second of hesitation upon reengagement of the clutch in each gear. like for just a fraction of a second it seems like it bogs... then boom comes on hard like usual.

car is tuned and running a hondata. 4 puck stage III clutch that seems to be hold ok.

this may sound dumb but could the bov (blitz dd) not be reacting fast enough when I speed shift (leaking off the boost for a second too long)? cause it does not do it when I easy shift the car.

this is not normal, is it?

Maybe falling out of boosting... try to shift at a little higher rpm and see what happens.

My friends recent build did the same thing with hondata. I thought it could have something to do with his throttle tip in (I don't know **** about hondata, but I think this is actually a setting).

He took the car back to the tuner to up the boost, and now the car runs great. I'm not sure if he said anything about the tip in, but that's what I know.

hmmm... good thoughts all around... thanks guys I am trying to figure this out.

I really dont think it is in the tune so first I am going to hookup my clutch switch and see if that fixes it.

when I try letting rev it out a little more and shifting fast... still does it... in daily driving or if I short shift the gears by about 500 rpm it is almost not noticeable.

your engine should get more fuel and ign retart @ sudden wot or rapid throttle movement.
and your ignition will have a hard time to ignite therefore check your plugs and cables.

not to thread hijack but i have a similar problem, when shifting under boost i get a hesitation, its very quick and rapid, like a misfire, for a second or 2 then keeps boosting smoothly, i thought it could be compressor surge but a friend of mine said it wasn't

any ideas?

changes my plugs and wires, also installed my clutch switch last night... need to go out and check it out still... well as soon as it cools off a little bit.

this heat sucks... will update if this resolves my problem or whatnot.
