I just noticed today while looking at the oil pressure gauge that my oil pressure looks a little low. i dont know if it has to do with my catch can on my block or not?
it idles at like 20psi which seems fine and under a little load goes to 50psi , but i remember on my old set ups it went to like 80in vtec. now it looks like it goes a tad over 50 and jumps back to 50psi . .


could this be becuase of the catch can set up not alowwing the pressure to build up like previously>?

 

normal Honda engines are

10 psi at 750 rpms idle
and around 3000 rpms it should have 50 psi

this readings are for when the engine is HOT

when cold and not fully warmed readings are going to be higher since the oil will be ticker then

i say ur fine... worry if u dont have 10 psi on idle or if u only have around 25 psi over 3k rpms

 

ok , i just wasnt sure since i used to have hi pressure while in vtec on my old motors/set ups
