Default Noob needs help w/ LS VTECT

Very new to the honda game. Currently have a LS Vtec setup in an eg hatch.
B18A1 block w/ a B16 head.
Garret gt28 Turbo on 10 psi.
Here are some more details:
B16 head with super tech internals
Block is a b18A1 with fresh rings
Arp head studs
Adjustable cam gears
Kevlar timing belt
Garret gt28 turbo.. freshly rebuild
Front mount intercooler
Hks blow off valve
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Tial wastage with a 10 pound spring
Aftermarket turbo manifold

My questions are; is it okay to be using a stock block? If not, what can I do to the block to make it safer for boost? Very new to this so any info on what I can do to improve this setup would be much appreciated. Thanks

Regardless running forged components like higher tensile rods and pistons will help you a ton. If you're looking to push a good amount of power you could also get it sleeved, potentially bored larger.

Okay thanks for that. I'm also looking to upgrade my cam gears and camshafts. When I do this do I need to find them specific to my block (b18a1) or my head (b16). And what else is required?

On a stock motor with a good tune 250-350whp is safe depending on tuning and fuel used. 300-320whp on pump gas on a stock motor is fine and safe and has been done many times. I am looking for 300whp on my stock Ls vtec.

What would need to be done to my motor to achieve that kind of hp?

ARP rod bolts and head studs and a good tune on the best gas you can get at the pumps. Along with all the needed turbo and fuel stuff to make it all work safely. What cams are you planning on running? Unless you are going to use Pro1 or turbo cams there is no need for adjustable cam gears. For your goals I recommend GSR or ITR cams, they will work well since there really is no need for larger cams at your hp goals. You could swap to an ITR intake manifold and larger TB like 65-68mm which will help increase power some but is not needed at those goals.

Good mechanical maintenance (Compression and leakdown test results are good indicators), good equipment for the turbo kit, installation, proper engine management and of course tuning

The ARPs really are more of an option than a requirement. But if there's really a need for them, that means the "good mechanical maintenance" step wasn't completed.

There's no need to do that with that particular turbocharger for that boost pressure and power level. The stock will perform as good as that turbo is capable of giving out.

Only the coupler to the TB will need to be changed.

You'd need to port the manifold inlet for the bigger tb. 82mm throttle body doesn't mean **** if it's pulling air through a stock sized hole in the intake manifold.

Yes but 82mm would be over kill. I was suggesting a much smaller TB like a ITR or a little larger but they are not needed at these power levels. Yes if you go bigger be sure to port out the intake mani to the new TB does not have a step where it bolts to the intake.
