noise when VTEC crosses over?
I just got my car tuned like last weekend and it was running great till about 4 days ago when it started making a noise at about 5500 rpms. It sounds like a rattle when two peaces of metal are fastly vibrating together. It looses ALOT of power when this is happen and it almost always happens at about 5500rpms. my set up is a LsVtec motor I built my self with a turbo kit I had already put about 10k on my stock block setup. After searching H-T I think it could be something with the Lost motion sticking down or something with the rockers but I would like to be sure because they are both very expensive parts. Any suggestion would really help at this point because I am stuck.

Re: noise when VTEC crosses over? (spicyEM1)
the turbo must have been bad because when I started taken off the head I first popped the VTEC solenoid off at it was fill with gold flakes blockin oil flow enough for vtec not to cross over. I am all most sure that they are from the turbo bushings failing. thanks for the help Honda-Teckers
