Re: no spool on turbo
What turbo is it? Could it be that the turbo crapped out and/or broke the shaft? Does the wastegate open? Give us some more detail on the setup, and the setup of the turbo and we'll go from there.

Re: no spool on turbo
Do you hear the turbo spool at all?
I bet you have a freaken leak. Re-tighten ALL of the clamps. You may even consider using some of those 3M adhevises between the rubber hosings and the piping to ensure a tight seal.

Re: no spool on turbo
pipping and couples were all double and triple checked for leaks, the wastegate is tial and the turbo is turbonetics,,he said that he had the turbo on his other engine and the turbo worked fine but the motor blew..you can hear the turbo whining but no spool .there is absolutely no shaft play at all..the downpipe is not connected and is the only thing not connected..we even changed the vacuum lines on the wastegate 2 the 2 different positions and still nothing..

Re: no spool on turbo
Lol...he "says" the fire ring is installed? Why don't you open it up man and double check, also make sure its installed properly.
Try revving the car and feel with your hand if you can feel exhaust coming out of the dump tube.
And also as stated above, spin the wheels (fins) and make sure they turn together and that the shaft isn't broken. Does it spin freely when you spin it? If not, maybe the turbo is shot and its not being allowed to spin fast enough to make boost...
If its none of what I just said, you just have a leak somewhere and your missing it.
Edit: You didn't leave any rags in the turbo manifold did you? haha...not being a dick...people do that ****.

Re: no spool on turbo
they may have left them loose so you can clock it. also you need to put the downpipe on, you are gonna melt something or start a fire with no dp connected
