No noise from BOV..help
i just got my turbo back from warranty work thru turbonetics this pass Saturday....and drove the car all day Saturday...it was running great...and then on Sunday i noticed that my BOV wasn't making any noise..but the turbo was making noise instead....so i checked the BOV....found a tear in the gasket...so i replaced the gasket....and then i started the car up.....rev-ed the motor..and it blows out air....but when i drive the car you can't hear the BOV....what gives....i've checked the lines...should i tap vac for BOV off another spot
Suck on the vacuum hose to it to make sure it's getting a good seal, if that's not the problem, mess around with the tensioning bolt, tighten it until you hear backspool, then keep backing it off slowly until you no longer hear it.
I had kind of the same problem with my ghetto diaphragm if that's what you did, but it's working like it should with proper adjustment.

Then everything is cool and your BOV isn't working properly.
Maybe you popped the vacuum line off boosting? Maybe your old turbo had a boost leak, then when you put a new one on, you were able to seal it? Turbos aren't supposed to be very loud, they usually only are when you have a boost leak or a hardpipe intake with some type of cone filter.
