Default No downpipe

Alright so I finally finished bolting up my setup yesterday, I do not have a downpipe at the moment but I'm waiting for the flange to come in so I can get a downpipe bolted on. Well I can hear my turbo spooling around 3k rpm but on my boost gauge it still says I'm in vacuum, the only time my setup hits boost is when I gas it hard and wait till higher rpms possibly around high 5k to 6k is when I'll see boost. I'm currently running a medium sized turbo on a b18b1.

I thought that the bigger the diameter your downpipe the faster your turbo spools, I currently don't have one on and I'm wondering why it boosts so late then.

I would say I drove about 3-4 miles max on it just out of my neighborhood and stuff.

I did get a slight headache in the garage tho lol

Dont get on it with no downpipe. There is enough heat (possible flame) out of the turbo exhuast housing to potentially set your car on fire. You at least need a dump pipe off the turbo pointing at the ground.

I wasn't able to hit full boost until I got my downpipe made and fitted on my first boosted setup. Get a downpipe on there and I bet you will hit full boost no problem. Don't drive too much without a downpipe cause it turns your engine bay black and it is really annoying to clean later.

X2. Not to mention, carbon monoxide poisoning can kill you.

Park this car until you can get a downpipe on it man, seriously.
