I wanna install just my manifold and turbo witht he downpipe and the necessary oil feed and return just so I can drive my car to the exhaust shop. is it bad to drive with an open downpipe??? risk of damaging anything at all??

It's fine, just watch your boost gauge for boost spikes. And watch out for cops.
