Default With no a/c...any reason not to run comp. on driver side?

I see that a lot of setups even with no a/c still run with the compressor housing on the passenger side. Is this just because most dp's are made like this and these people dont want to fab their own? Are there any negative affects of mounting the turbo compressor on the driver side? I would think it would be easier this way. Thanks

It doesn't matter. Depends on how much you want to fab the downpipe and what not.
