Did you check your I/C pipes for a solid connection??

so there is no up and down play or in/out play on your turbo right??

who is checking to see if the turbo spins, is somone helping you? if not, get some one. let them rev it a little, and just check things out (carefully) to see if anything sounds or looks out of order. if you still can't see anything wrong, drive your car off a cliff. That will take care of your problem!!! Good luck.

dont stick your finger in the turbo inlet while the car is running though.

or we will be seeing another "when turbos attack" thread.

When I blew off my charge pipe the turbo would still spool up and would make spoolin noise. Just because you blow your charge pipe it doesn't mean that exsaust gasses aren't hitting the turbine at all....so your turbine should still spin but your boost won't build up.

I'm gonna recommend that you get a couple of people together and get a compressor to do a leak test. Disconnect you charge pipe by the intake manifold and stick the compressor hose in there and seal it off so that you can create some kind of pressure and then go around to every connector and spray on some soapy water and see if you get any bubbles comming out. Go thru your whole system and check for any leaks at all. I sure thats what the problem is if you've already checked your turbo, BOV, and wastegate and are sure that they're good to go. And don't forget to check your Intercooler for leaks to. Best of luck to you and if you figure it out than let us know.

yeah that'll do it!!!

Anyways, why the hell are you on here posting about it instead of going outside and trying to figure it out. We cant provide an instand answer for you like you seem to think we can.

Why aren't you getting boost? IDK, what involve boost? Exhaust goes through manifold, Turbo spinning building boost, wastegate opening, goes through charge pipes, to TB, and at some instance goes through the BOV.

NOW, is the wastegate working? YES so we'll check that off. Is the exhaust making it from the engine to the turbo? IDK see if there's any smoke billowing out. Is the turbo working? IDK but lets assume so, because turbos usually dont hide boost from you. Now charge pipes HEY ever think of that? Maybe you have a leak. Now go outside and check.

It's not HARD. For crying out loud, im sick of all these stupid ******* questions

EXACTLY.

BTW Your sig is so true. That's the same reason I went boost. $1200 later, im past to point of a swap w/bolt-ons.

What bolts did you tighten? When you tightened these bolts did you make sure others weren't loose?

I ask because i had this problem. WIth the same kit. It wouldn't build boost but everything sounded almost ok, just maybe a little louder than normal. My problem was exhaust leaking on the underside of the manifold. You know those 3 bolts that are a bitch to get to.....yeah those!
Remember any gass is going to pass through the area with the least resistance, sounds to me like you need to re-torque all your manifold bolts!

Or go to home depot, by a rubber coupling and a pvc cap. Drill it out and put a air compressor fitting in it , this away you cn hook it up and see if maybe your intercooler has a hole somewhere, or if there is a small slit in a coupling somewhere. This also happened to me on my RX7, wouldn't build boost due a small split in a coupling, bitch was you couldn't see it unless there was pressure-

Check all this ****, then smoke a blunt and wait for tomorrow!

OKAAAAYYYYYY......

Turbo - good
BOV - still good cause it makes a "sound"
Boost gauge - good read vaccum
Wastegate - good says you...you checked it
I/C Leaks - didn't check yet
Vaccum lines - didn't check yet
Leaks in Pipes - not sure yet... although "they LOOK fine" says you
oil lines - who cars
Coolent lines - who cars
Manifold bolts - well you tightened them

Point is, if you checked all of the main components of the turbo itself and they all seem to be in working condition to your knowledge than what your looking for isn't machanical IE a leak in the system or a problem with vaccum. But since you said that you boosted fine before that means its not a vaccum issue. Once you tightened those bolts you must have created a leak somewhere else. The first thing that i'd check would be a pre-turbo leak cause you say it doesn't make any spoolin noise at all and your turbo is good. Then i'd check every pipe in your system. If that doesn't work than either sell the kit to me for a 100 bucks and i'll get it to work or UNINSTALL the whole kit making sure that you put everything back on with the right amount of brain usage. It can't be that hard to figure out from here. You've checked almost everything that has to do with your kit already. Now I guess check what you didn't and get the bitch to boost already. Once again GOOD LUCK and let us know what you find out.

If you don't know how to find a pre-turbo leak than all you have to do is either 1.turn on the car and rev the engine feeling for heat or air or 2. look at every crack and seal looking for a black carb exsaust residue.(every car clean or not if theres a leak in there exsaust than you'll find a black carb stain)

driving his car off acliff was obviouslycserious, it make finding a leak alot easier when you have an extra person or 2 to help you. But anyway, if you can't figure this out with of all these suggestions, then maybe you should jump off the cliff!!! (I'm sure you can figure that out)
