Default Stuck @ 5 psi

I've been working on my car(not a good Idea) and After I've installed my victor x manifold I can't boost more than the set boost. Greddy @ 5 psi.

I have the profec b with low boost set at 7psi and hi at 10psi.

Could my waste gate be messed up? The profec b has only been on the car for 6000 miles could the soleniod gone bad? any info/help would be appreciated

Have you checked all your boost controller/wastegate/boost gauge vacuum connections for leaks?

Also, check your blow off valve, make sure it's not leaking boost.

If none of those, I'd try swapping the wastegate if you have another or one you can borrow to check it.

yeah, try the wastegate (pull the wastegate rod back and forth to ensure the spring functions) and all of the vaccum hoses on the manifold. more than likely it's one of them since you installed the new mani.

I've checked all the vac lines and they all look good. I'll check the wastegate rod.

On a side note. My BOV makes a fluttering sound ever since i swapped mani's. I've adjusted it both soft and hard and it still sounds like a flutter. It doesn't have that normal type s sound.

Thanks again for the help

that fluttering sound is normal with the increase of pressure.

I checked the vac lines again and don't I fell like a dumazz... I wasn't getting any positive manifold pressure going to the controller... i.e. had vac lines hooked up wrong

Wait a minute...I posted this same question a while back and I was told I need to loosen my BOV...is this normal under higher boost? What about when I turn the boost back to 5psi...it still does it. Any ideas? Thanks!

you'll normally get that sound when boost is increased and if your bov is adjusted tightly. loosing it sound help relieve some pressure and the sound should change. what type of bov are you using? loosing it should've alleviated some of the chattering at 5psi.
