Default Nitrous plus boost????

Can you run NOS on a turboed engine? Seems like that would be the hot setup, NOS to get you to 5K RPM, then boost boost boost.

its nice thing to run nos on a turbo car. its good to spool the turbo nad then let of. I ordered the progressive controller from nos with a NOS direct port kit. Works wonders to help spool the race car up.

i'm curious about this too...what would be the ideal use of nitrous on a boosted motor, spray until the turbo hits full boost? what effects will that have on your motor?

The nitrous helps cool the charge which helps make more power. I'd only use like 50hp which is plenty to get that turbo spooled up. It can work really well if it is designed to work with the progressive nitrous controller like b18bturbo said.

Do you have to run a wet kit because of the intake situation w/ turbos? Or will a dry shot work in the same way???

guys, just tell the truth, forget cool the charge, just admit you are adding a another power adder, you are using two adders to get more O2 mixed with gas in your car. its cheating, use one or the other, if you want to spool your turbo faster, size your turbo better. If you use it just to spool why dont you get off the button when fully spooled????

I appreciate your response, I know one guy who uses NO2 to really cool the charge, he sprays NOS directly on his intercooler - that I can accept.

cheating or not, i've got a nos plate system sleeping in my engine that i'm dying to put to some use, the problem is that it's a minimum 75 shot and i can't figure out what to do with it.

the nos system is great when used with a progressive controller. It sucks if you just hit a button. I use it to launch of the line and then hit approx 80 shot down the track. its al setup with the nos progressive controller. pushing 146mph inthe quarter wiht this setup compared to the 140 i was hitting prior to the nos.

I am so sick of hearing that using nitrous is cheating, nitrous is no different than a turbo or super charger in the long run all of these products will create power. If I have nitrous and I beat you, cry all you want but in reality all you have to do is go out and buy a kit for yourself. Just because it is cheap does not make it cheating.

hell ya, fock cheeting
you can use two power adders any how.
i would do it to if that was the difference between wining and loosing.
i am just a lil scared it would be a little to much for my setup
and i have no money to buy a new fully built motor like the one i have now.
