Default Nitro Methane

Have played with most of it all. I have a 91 CRX and always wanted to improve MPG. Toulene, Isoproply acho, wood acho, napathelene, and nitro methane. Its best to be a chemist. You can get nitro methane at a model hobby shop for r/c planes. Its mostly 10% to 50% nitro with a castro oil mix, but expensive...25$ a Gal. I only messed with this stuff for octane boost. But I could not prove any improvement without diagnogist equipment. Some times better MPG other times no improvement. I'm sure it helps but don't have true data. Happy Mixing.

well for what its worth, nitro methane is oxygen bearing. top fuel cars are almost 1:1 with their a/f ratios

how would that net fuel economy? please school me.......

Nitro is good for adding more oxygen (nitro is oxygen bearing, as stated) for a given amount of boost/displacement. Top fuel cars almost POUR their fuel in at those power levels, they use that much.

As for increased gas milage, its only benifits would be cooling the air charge down, which allows you to running more ign timing and a leaner mix. The goal of MPG is making your engine the more efficient - make the most HP out of the least FUEL. If you gain 5% ecconomy but spend 25% more money on a fuel that will almost have to be injected seperately and filled very frequently, I don't see the benifit. Nitro absorbs water, aka hydrates, and becomes useless. I have a bottle of RC nitro fuel thats 3 yrs old and probably useless now, you can have it for $5...

look into it's effects on your sensors; specifically your o2 and it will look less tempting for adding to a DD.
