nitrious ?

Default nitrious ?

i am going to be runnig ls/vtec with ctr pistons. i am trying to figure out what comp. i should run with a 50 shoot. with a stock headgasket it will sit at 12.8-1 can the ctr pistons handle a 50 shoot with that comp. thanks bill

You'll need race gas, but yes, high compression is great with nitrous. Like I mentioned in another post, I help a friend run a nitrous powered Drag Radial car, it sits at 16:1 compression and we put over 400 horsepower into it.

all the race gas is used for is to make a chance for detonation become less, and make a friendlier combustion process on the bottle.

true compression loves nitrous, BUT CAST PISTONS DONT!

this is the only downfall to stock oem ****, they can handle a 50 shot but also like in the thread above you need some tuning and probably need to pull some timing in order to lower exhaust temperatures, or those pistons will melt, or a ringland will

i will be running hondata s200 but i am only running the ctr's untill i get my itb's rods and pistons. i just need to get this motor in before april. so i was wondering if it could handle a 50 shot at that comp. i guess i will lower it to 11.5-1. thanks for the input so far guys.
