Default NGK Plug question...

I went to my local speed shop in need of some colder plugs for my Turbo ITR and I asked for some "8's" referring to the heat range I wanted for NGK plugs. They gave me R5671A-8.

I was just curious if these are the correct plugs, the # looked a bit different then what I remember. Oh and these are NGK Copper Core V-Power if that helps.
Thanks.

I use bkre7's in my friends' cars. They're cold enough and can be gapped w/o prob.s

I dunno about those R5671A-8's they gave you, never really heard those mentioned for Honda turbo useage anywhere before. If they're good tho, I'd like to hear some comments about them.

the R5671A-8 and colder are used by alot of the the top Pro racers. That is a right FI plug for your turbo or supercharged set up. you can also use the common BCPR7ES-11 or the BKR7E how much did you pay for them..??

Use the bkre's or the bcp's if you are running low boost.

Low boost = 0-14psi.

The NGK website has a helpful chart on how to read the sparkplug #'s. You need Adobe Acrobat to view it though...

Yeah, the guys at the shop often run these(I think) in their 500-700hp FI Honda Motors. They are pretty nice and my car idles and runs smoother then ever with these plugs. I paid $11 for the set of 4.
Thanks for the info.
