Default Newbie bashing?

Well, I'm sick of all of the newbie bashing. It needs to stop. I'm posting this in Forced induction for a specific reason, I sure hope it can stay.

It's ridiculous how much that term is used. Who the hell cares if you have more time than others? It has absolutely nothing to do with a persons knowledge. I think some of us need to grow up with this newbie crap. I could name a few names, but won't. You guys know who you are, we all know who you are.

Associating a term such as newbie, to a new user, is demeaning if you ask me. Why should a new user be subjected to some jerkoffs acting like hotshots just because they have more days here? It's a ridiculous concept if you ask me, and it's only going to sour the overall feeling of unity we *should* have on this site.

I've been here a long time, longer than many others, and I have never once used that term in a demeaning way. People are way too quick to click on someones profile, see the amount of days registered, and instantly label them as a newbie with a nice associated attitude. It plain sucks, and once again, I for one am sick of seeing it!

I know I may be sounding like a real jerk here. Flame me all you want. Someone needs to stick up for the new guys! After all, we were all "newbies" at one point ( I know, a lame analogy but still holds true)

I wish we could drop the term, but I know there are people out there that get such a charge at flaming a guy online because he asked a question that has been asked before, even if a silly question. I know there will always be idiots roaming around, trolls or whatever, and that's fine. Lets just try not to tie them together with our newer members who have really done nothing to deserve such a term.

i dont go around calling people newbies but i do find it annoying... everyone was a "newbie" at one point or another... when i first came on this board (go to my profile if u must) i was showing off my integra with big rims and clear taillights... granted i put more time into my car than most... but people learn... i was a newbie back then but there wasnt all this name calling being thrown around...

just take it with a grain of salt... people who must always accuse others of being newbies just havent realized they were one not so long ago... they must feel as if they are "king of the hill" when they might know something someone else doesnt... hell... most of them wouldnt even know most anwsers if they hadn't read it on this board...

so dont go around calling others newbies simply because u stumbled upon this site before they did... it doesnt make u any better... and no question is a stupid question... we're all here to learn... if u dont like a post... grow up a little bit and go to the next without commenting... there is no point or need for that sort of stuff here

I concur.

Some people seem to think that once they get turbo, sc, nos, this, that, whatever...they suddenly have the power to poke fun or look down on those asking simple questions. Just my observation during my short time here so far...

Shut up you newbie! Heheh j/k Its not always about # of posts that make people "newbies" and get people to go off on them I think its the constant repeated questions being asked over and over and the lack of searching (even tho the search engine sucks)

i agree, just bc you have 3838383 posts doesnt make you superior to others... but then again when someone posts up b.s. and talks ****... well then its time to call him a newbie bastard bc honda-tech.com isnt for b.s.
