Newbie here....Thought I would step in here and say hello to everyone. Just waiting for my trial period to get over so i can get in the off-topic forum

Secondly, this is not a place to "waste time" while you are waiting to get where the other's "hang out."

This is a tech section. If you have technical questions about Preludes, we'll try to answer them.

Thirdly... it doesn't leave a good first impression that you're here "waiting for the OT sections."
Cause if that's all you want, you're at the wrong website.

I would appreciate if you would be a little more polite. Like I said, im new to the forum. If you do not like my post, delete it, or move it since you are a mod. I have put in to request to be a sponsor on the board, so im waiting for that. Dont talk down to me, cause thats not very professional.

I did not come here to make enemies, nor to start flames or fights.....I simply introduced myself to the forum. So bare with me while my trial period gets over.

I didn't deleted it or lock it for a reason. You said Hi to the Prelude guys. I'm letting it stay so they can say hello back.

I also didn't talk "down" to you, I mearly suggested that it's an insult to us as a forum that you are here mearly to waste time.

If I wanted to lock, or delete something, I would've done it.

Now, since you're in a talking mood, why don't you tell us what you do, what you drive, and why you're here?

And if you're nice to me, I can get this trial thing waved.

Right now I drive a 1997 E420 Mercedes-Benz (For Sale), and wanting to get the Lexus SC430. I have a few friends who come to this forum, and said it was a fun place to hang out and get good information. I also just recently started a online auto classifieds like autotrader, except mine is free of charge. I have put in to be a sponsor, just waiting for the reply. I am really looking foward to meeting people on the board, and i know there are tons of members from Orlando, and looking foward to meeting them at the local car shows.

Thats it about me....Just here for a good time, and meet new people.

oh lord.... well, as long as you don't go crazy on some "i drive a Benz so i am better than you Prelude guys" kick then i say welcome, but if you are going to be conceded about how you have a Benz, then you can leave

Guess I picked the wrong website to advertise on....I picked the prelude forum for my first post, cause that is what my buddy has, and it's the only one i know about.

If you guys would like to bash me on this, i will leave, and take my business else where. Only causing this website to lose money.

I never came here to start a problem as you can read from my posts, and im still on good terms, but if you guys want me to leave cause I have a mercedes, and you think im better then you....just let me know, and i will

I think i'll be the first to mention that this site is free of charge to the users... to my knowledge- honda-tech is not a profit oriented site. no one is talking down to you, bashing you or trying to be unprofessional, just letting you know what's up so you can further familiarize yourself with our community. sounds good, eh? i say welcome to honda-tech..enjoy your time here, but don't be too defensive or your posts might just go south (much like this one is turning).
One more bit of info- remember that this community is far from democratic.. you can't demand satisfaction and expect results.. it's partially a matter of respecting your elders (age based on post count), and responding accordingly.

Welcome to the board, it's always good to see new people joining.

 

I believe the reason behind Lone Luder's post is the pure and simple fact that the general discussion forums are not what H-T is about, actually far from it. It is there to keep non-technical posts from repeatedly popping up in the specific forums. Basically it makes it easier on the moderators and helps sponsors recognize we are not just "another" import site

if we find there is a large number of new members coming to the site just for the off topic forums we will most likely eliminate them fully and become dictators of our respected forums

as a moderator you get bombarded everyday with new members not taking the time to read the TOS or forum specific rules then complaining when things of theirs get deleted/locked/flamed

I also welcome you to H-T and do not take this personally, take the time to read our TOS and follow the right avenues to promoting your business on this site
