Default NEW setup VS. my OLD setup

OLD setup with short runner mani, 2.5" dp and stock cat:

NEW top mount with 3" dp and 3" hi flow cat:

i still need to add a vac line from the compressor to the new tial 44mm wg and also need to do some rewiring and put the interior back in it. it should be running early next week hopefully. i want to add a duct on both sides beneath the bumper lenses to draw air for the intake on the driver's side and for the oil cooler on the passenger side. i also have a slew of other parts that still need to be put in but right now i just want to get it running.

That's cool, but why top mount? There's more airflow (not to mention denser air) down by the bumper.

Top mounts have shown to make more HP over ram horn and most other manifold designs. If you really want to get the turbo to pull in the cool dense air just route the intake to that location. The only thing you really need to avoid with the compressor inlet is the exhaust from the wastegate.

nice set-up...interesting placement on the oil cooler. what kind of turbo manifold was your old and new one?

i fabbed everything myself for both setups.

the oil cooler wouldn't really fit anywhere else. i'm going to route a pipe down to the bumper to duct some air up to it.

the manifold is just painted with some high temp paint to help prevent rust because i made it out of all ms. the dp is all stainless though.

That's some good craftmanship. How long did it take you to do each setup.

anyways, nice change of things. i like the bracket made on the DP to hold it in place. i should do something like that. my exhaust shakes sometimes. but over all great fab work

btw what kind of turbo are you running? and what kind of intake manifold is that?
