New motor will not start, looking for ideas.
Here is a breif list of the mods i have done to the car.
B18c1 darton 84mm sleeves
Manley rods
Cp pistons
fluidampnr
P&P head
Supertech valves, springs
ITR cams
msd coil and cap
Aeromotive A100 pump
Aeromotive fuel regulator
8am feed and return lines
RC 1000 iinjectors
Hondata s300
I tried to start the car for the first ime last night but with no luck. Its not getting spark but the coil is getting power. The second question is, the fuel system will not hold pressure after the car primes the pump. Its builds to 40psi and when the pump is done priming is falls back to zero. Is thos common with this kind of fuel set up? Thanks!

How do you know it's not getting spark?
What map are you using?
fuel pressure dropping is not normal. are you sure the pump is wired correctly? Sounds like it loses power when you turn from accesory power to ignition with the key.
Plugs gapped correctly?
There's just a million things to check on first start up and you're not providing too much detail.

2. I am using a base map that a local shop gave me just to get the car started.
3. The pump is wired correctly
3. The plugs are gaped correctly.
People using this type of set-ups, is there a need for a check valve inline with the feed line? I can understand fuel pressure bleeding off over time but as soon as the pump shuts off? Is there a way to check for fuel line leaks other than the normal "fuel on the floor" check?

if your loosing fuel pressure then you have a bad regulator or its out of adjustment or not hooked up correctly, either that or the fuel injectors are wide open and the fuel is dumping out through them. first things first is fix the fuel issue befor eyou go any further. afte ryou fix the fuel issue then go to the spark issue. How do you know the coil is getting power? Is the rotor spinning when you crank the engine over? could be a bad ignitior try swapping it out with a known good one.
once you get the fuel fixed and get some spark it should run. If your injectors are dumping fuel then you've got some problems. do you have the resistor of P&H driver for the injectors in place?

There's the head ground, trans ground, starter ground, ground from fuse box to chassis, is the ground wire on the battery tight?
There's a LOT of "ground" to cover lol.

Well I checked to see if I had power to the injector clips and they have 12v power to them. I then checked them with a noid light and they are not pulsing. I switched out my msd coil for a stock coil and I still do not have spark. If a ignitor was bad I understand it would cause it not to spark but would that be related to why injectors are not pulsing?
