new ls/vtec -smoke from breather?
I have searched but no post has really helped me but I just built a ls/vtec motor(with cp pistons, eagle rods and a gsr head if it makes a diff.) I started realized that a little bit of oil and smoke is comming from the breather port on the valve cover. Then I realized that I did not install a pcv system back on the motor. I was wondering if the smoke from the breather could be caused by no pcv system? The only thing venting the motor is the breather port.

Re: (WEldin4fun)
it has about 280 miles on it now, I have not driven it since I noticed smoke comming from the breather. I ordered the fitting that is used in the Endyne kits from Honda. I have a catch can so I am going to make my own kit. Since my catch can does not have a breather on it , do most people route it from the back of the block to a catch can then to the IM? Or do they go from the back of the block to the catch can then pre turbo?
