for real, what happens when you make 22psi and NO TRACTION, you go NOWHERE...

i dont know to much about about turbos but i do know that 10 psi one turbo wont isnt the same on another turbo with 10 psi. one could make more hp and run lower boost

You could deff run 10 psi no prob with minor street tunning on a LS block just keep it alittle on the rich side if your ever in doubt when your tunning it. And when you do make 22 PSI you do go somewhere I ran a low 12 on street tires it just takes a while to hook up but when you do you move!!!!

I'd take 7 intercooled psi over 20 non cooled psi
like Ricey said, make a HP goal, I believe your engine can handle about 200whp untuned and 300 tuned, I've seen 350 stock internals, but it was tuned and managed properly

Yeah they help... after a hard run, the inlet side of my intercooler will be warm/hot and the other ice cold.... seriously.

i hate to say it but i dont think you are ready to own a car with a turbocharger. take some time and do some reading, then you will answer your own questions.
250 is a reasonable whp amount for a stock ls motor, but like people said, it can be only 7 psi or 15 psi to get there.
