Default NEW LoveFab Cast Sidewinder questions

I have been looking at this manifold for my project till recently. it started occuring to me that the side piping is right next to the hood. the hood that is painted. heat damages paint. especially as hot as a manifold gets. anyone care to eleberate the pissibilities this "might" have on the paint job on the hood of the car?

Does someoen have expirnece with this manifold? Have you had issues?

Cyphears car is doing just fine with his paint job. Hasn't caused any problems, except when it rains there is dry spot on the front of his hood. -Tegmech

~5 months. My paint isn't that good and its holding up good. It gets about hot enough to hold your finger on for about a second before you have to pull it of, if you know what i mean.

If your worried about the heat screwing with the paint, you could get the manifold thermo-coated When done right it looks really good as well. Or if it's a "semi-race" car you could always get it heat wrapped.

I put heat wrap stuff on mine, it was easy and cheap, and im sure it lowered underhood temps by a few degrees.
