New Hastings rings are on order, In the mean time I finally got my Moates Demon back from being serviced and got it situated.

Reading off my AEM EUGO wideband, needs the voltage vs afr table redone. Inputting into the ecu throuh the EGR lift pin (d16?)

I caught a screen shot of the car idling its pulling almost 23in of hg at idle.

Replaced my pcv valve and most of the oil burning has subsided.

Does anyone have a copy of the FSM showing the specs for vacuum at idle?

Im going to Re ring it in the next week or two and see if it helps it reguardless.

Sometimes rings take a bit to seat if the crosshatch wasn't correct. I would give it a bit more time before you pull it apart and re ring. Tuning and AFR are also big factors in getting the rings to seat.

Still driving this, I have noticed a pattern with the smoke. very, very odd.

The smoke has died down, but it still smokes on moderate turns, and slowing down to a stop.

THe car also has developed a low idle condition that I cant figure out.

Could this be due to the rings seating, pulling more vacuum?

I called a local builder he said that its possibly valve guide seals, and the idle issue is could be due to lack of lubrication to the Wrist pins.

Im kind of confused as the head showed no problems like this, even on the old block, and the wrist pins were fine, and I see no reason why theywouldnt have enough lubrication.

Any insight anyone?
