Default New center cartridge leaking oil.

We ordered a couple of T3 cartridges from custom coach(speedpartsrus). Well one has been leaking oil(haven't used the other one yet). The oil is coming out in between the center cartridge and the exhaust housing and dripping off the clamps/clasps. Has anybody else had this problem? Oil return is fine. Oil feed is a -4 however there is a .060(I think that's what it is) restrictor so it's actually under a -3.
Could this be why the cartridges are so cheap? We have another one here and are hoping it doesn't do the same thing. I was going to order the 60/48 for my car as well, but now I dunno. The cartridge has been on the car for over a week now. Thanks.

Nate

Always inferred from a couple guys I knew that customcoach was a good guy. I have no experience with him or his products, but I felt the need to mention what friends have said.

Brand new cheapturbo.com T3/04E of a friend's leaked oil from the turbine housing right off the bat. I'm pretty sure it wasn't primed, or primed enough, in the first place. Oil leaking stopped after the first 5 minutes, but it blew a little smoke due to a bad oil drain. Fixed that and now it works 100% groovy.

Ok. An update. Turbo is still leaking. Oil all in the charge pipes. Here are the pics. Anthony at customcoach said to try a -3 and that should solve it, so we are going to try it. Our restrictor now is .060". A -3 technically should be .1875". Over double the size, but less volume since it's a -3 instead of a -4. What do you guys think?

Sorry to get off topic, but is that a Rank 1 Racing mani that has been re-welded? If so, why did you re-weld it?

Yep. A new turbo should not leak like that even with the line we are running. If the -3 line doesn't work he better swap out the center cartridge.

Line volume is irrelevant. Pressure is what you worry about, and that can be manipulated by orifice size.

I'd say the turbo has issues. From what little I can see of your oil drain it looks alright, and I've run that exact same turbo for many miles with 1/4" hard steel line + no restrictor.
