Default new to boost

ive thought of the idea of boosting my single cam for a while but now i think im gona
im running a d15b2 block with a z6 head
the block was just rebuild so ill start with a fresh motor
i dont want to run much boost any where from 4-8 lbs
would it be smart to get a kit from ebay and run it or are they crap
like i said im new to boost and is looking for the most reliable set up
