I have a 99 civic with a gsr motor itr cams. I'm bored of the all motor scene and want t o go turbo but i want the car to still feel like it came off the assembly line that way, what should i do? I dont really care about getting 450 whp I just want it to be around 300 w/o spending an arm and a leg.

look into one of the edelbrock or greddy kits. ive never used them personally but im guessing one of those would be your best bet.

those are kinda expensive. i really wanted it to very cheap. i found a kit on ebay from rev speed that was a great deal what do you think? have you ever heard of that brand?
what are all the steps to making a turbo feel like its meant to be turbo. I've been in cars that ride rough. I want my car to be really smooth driving but strong.

cheap out on a turbo and spend more when something breaks. good logic there.

so if i went with the kit on ebay, it wouldnt be good? Again i've never done FI so I wouldnt know. I did the poor mans type r on my motor and it's great. Dont get me wrong I'm not looking into spending a few hundred my price range is about 2k for parts.

ebay kits are crap, dont waste your money. go with either revhard or drag or just peice together your own kit. turbo'in isnt cheap by ANY means. its a very expensive process and you will end up spending more in the long run if you cheap out in the beginning.

Best bet..

Decent turbo
Do the charge pipes yourself
Do the exhaust yourself
Xs FMIC
Xs bov
Decent manifold
Decent wastegate
Dsm 450s
Tuned on crome

The above set up will set you up cheapf and mostly reliable, i dont advise the use of all of them for a long long period of time but you said youre on a budget.
