Default Which is better....

which engine is best for boost? GSR or LS? I plan on running stock internals. And what tranny is best LS or GSR?

get the GSR or build an LS/VTEC...the stock LS heads flow like garbage and is obviously a big restriction, not to mention they dont rev nearly as high....

even though GSR's have a higher compression, the potnential for power is much greater in stock form.


Revving higher is going to allow u to make more power at a lower PSI, and an 8200rev limit is fun as hell on the street.

Schister pretty much sumed it up. Both the LS and GSR bottom ends are fine. The GSR vtec head is far superior and will make a lot more power.

The LS tranny is better for a daily driver or if you plan on a lot of highway use. You will enjoy the low rpms in 5th gear. The GSR tranny is going to be better for racing and imo is more fun to drive.
