if tuned correctly u should be ok on stock rods altho u are right on the edge of needing new ones. but all u would need is a set of eagle rods.

Re: need some rods! (cstay)
well i took my car to a show to see what was going on and not good. it looks like im going to have to get a new block. i mean its not all fucked up but it will cost the same. i dont know to mush about rods but from what i was told was that what turns the rod and the baring is my problem. and i have some block damage to.

that would be your crankshaft, and your block is aluminum except for the cylinder walls. you could patch your block right up and then just buy a new crankshaft or used
and also if your walls are messed up try to get them honed out or bored a little or if you can just get some sleeves
if i were you id get a ls crankshaft, longer stroke but im still learning, maybe you dont want longer stroke

that sounds pretty good to me but would all that be worth it, how about just getting a new/used block, but my only ? is how do i know that this wont happen again two three months down that road.

you can buy a used ls crankshaft for like 150 and then get some rods, 350 for eagle rods, and either sleeves for around 1000 or honed for about 200, go with sleeves. or you can buy a used or new block with stock rods, crankshaft, pistons for what 1200 and then you gotta buy rods, pistons and later buy sleeves.
just go with what you got and build it for high boost
