my downpipe recently got crushed due to a rock.. so i had to cut it and now the downpipe ends right by the oil pan.

so by cutting it that far i had to unplug the o2 sensor. i dont remember my car was tuned on open or closed loop?

i drove the car earlier in the day and it idled and ran fine, got on it and it seemed normal. tonight when i went to turn it on the car smelled like it was dumping fuel like no other and the idle was a lil off (tad bit low and sounded weird)

its odd b/c it seem to be running fine during the day and if it was the o2 wouldnt it be acting that way when i took it out in the afternoon?

 

going from full exhaust to open downpipe will effect your tune and spool time im pretty sure....

Not sure how that will effect how the engine runs...

 

ive always had open downpipe, its just shorter now w/ no o2

 

you need to find out if you were tuned closed or open loop

 

it was tuned on open loop
