Default Car bogs while running Open O2 housing (no downpipe)

Hey guys, I turboed my D16z6 and was running Open O2 housing for a while. The car bogs like crazy when I drop/even feather the clutch on it from the launch.

Normal driving is fine, but from a dead stop, the car will bog. Anyone else have this problem. After I had teh downpipe put on, this problem went away so now im kinda confused.

D16z6 T3 turbo.

THanks!
Dan

Did you get a CEl when you ran open o2. That was a bad idea, I did the same thing. The reason it bogged at low rpm was because, your o2 sensor reads the amount of air flow and sends that reading to the ECU, which in turns puts out as much gas as necessary. Since you didnt have an o2 sensor plugged in, your ECU didnt know how much fuel to dump so, basically you were running lean or rich at certain rpms

Oh, i was running an O2 sensor and was getting readings off my shitty A/F gauge.

Im just not sure why the DP made the difference.

Thanks for the reply.
