Need some opinions, thinking of swapping....
Ok well here is the deal. I can get a complete LS motor (75k) for 700 bucks (1200 with the GSR tranny). I currently have a turbo d16 putting down I would say in the nieghborhood of 220whp. The turbo im using is gt28rs with uberdata.
On 10-12lbs how much power could I expect from a LS motor?
I really need some help/advice on whether or not I should go with the b18 (not just people saying buy it cuase it has 2 cams). Also keep in mind the car is mainly an autocross car so I want a good usualbe powerband not looking for peak horsepower. I really want around 300 with the RS. I figure with the added displacemtn of the b18 I would see a bit better spool times and should be able to make a bit more power.
TIA

1200 bucks gives you forged internals in your d series. it will allow you to run high boost more reliably than the ls. you will be faster in the end.

Anyone else have some advice.
Thanks Shane, I really do have a love for the single cam motors. It just seems a full LS motor for 700 bucks would be so nice. Especially since I see so many now-a-days with 300hp on the stock block.
