Default need some help here

hey guys i bought my turbo teg a few months ago it has been having problems since i bought it so i put a new motor in it and a new turbo it was running great until i stepped on it then it melted a piston and caused tons of smoke. It has a vortech fmu for a tune im wondering if it is hooked up wrong with vaccum lines and not reading right. because the car only has problems in no.4 and no.3 cylinders what is a good electronic tune that will help me run 8 psi on a stock ls problem free anything would help.

thanks

8 psi should be no problem, was it spiking? where is the timming? make sure the fmu has a good source of vac/boost. what fuel pump is in it? there are a lot of variables. im not gonna bash the get rid of the fmu, for 8 psi it should be fine. you have an issue elsewhere. is your ecu chipped for N/A?

i didnt think 8 psi should be a problem at all it spikes a little sometimes 10 but thats rare the timing is set what the guy had it at when i bought it what should it be at exactly? It has a fuel pump but i do not know what one at the time sorry just bought the car it is hard for me to understand the vaccum lines with this fmu and how they should be routed i just wish i had an exact diagram on how they should be i just dun know if they are right the way the guy i bought it from had it i just need to work it out before i put another motor in it. i do not think my ecu is chipped at all though dun know for sure though. The guy sold it to me and told me it had a full turbonetics kit with vortech fmu and it was running a 4.8 pound spring i put a 7.6 pound spring in it that i bought never went lean on my gauge but was close to being completely rich seemed fine then i melted a piston so somethings not right i think the vaccum lines are messing with it cause it just doesnt seem right everything is great otherwise. just dont wanna blow another motor thanks for the help thats all i can tell you about it anything else to help i would be greatful thanks...

8 psi isnt a problem but if your timming is too far advanced it will raise hell. do not trust an a/f gauge unless it is a wideband.
