hey guys ok i know that noone is going to spoon feed me informat but i have been reasearching and all i find is dead ends i have a 1997 civic si with a d16y8 vtec under the hood now as far as i can tell all it has done to it is a 4-2-1 header !

ok so i want to turbo the car slowly i know its gonna take a while but i want to slowly peice it together im not looking for a drag car its going to my my daily driver just want to spank some guys around my town and still have ***** in the car .

my buddy dose talons and says i can use almost everything from one of them stock

Used Mitsu 14B with wastegate actuator
used DSM 450cc injectors
used DSM smic ( no idea what this is )
used DSM fuel pump or new Walbro 190lph
he was Not sure if i need an AFPR, no clue what that is ither
used DSM BOV
he said You'll need a manifold, downpipe, exhaust, possibly an o2 housing. All that can vary in price.
need all the plumbing for the intercooler.
need a -4AN oil feed off the head, if it's off the block you'll need a restrictor. You'll need a -10AN or similar drain, you'll need coolant lines for the turbocharger. now he builds talons so what would be the best route ?

then ill need an ecu to be tuned so i dont blow up now ive been reading about the (P28 ecu) not to sure if thats what im after or what ??

so i guess what im asking is will this work , what kind of ecu should i be looking for and can i get a ecu that is tuned or will i need to get one tuned also aperently on the web i cant find how much boost i can run with stock internals some people say 5-7 but others say like 10 again not looking for a drag racer just looking for some more hp to blow the socks off some people in town

id go with a new fuel pump
convert to obd1. dont necessarily need a p28 a p06 can be chipped for vtec.
imo i wouldnt go higher than 200whp

with dsm 450, yeah needs to be tuned
