Default need some direction in turbo project

I have a DA, that is getting a b16a1 installed this week. After my wife recovers from the shock of writing the checks, I am going to do a custom turbo with the shop that is doing the swap. I want to start out with something like 6-10 psi, if my math is correct that will get me into the lower half of the 200's at the crank, which will be fun, since this car is only a dailey driver and a once in a while autocross car.

What I eventually want to do is run about 300 bhp, once the car is for the track only. My question is, what psi should be "safe" to go up to before I start to replace internals. My next question is what are the internals that need replacing, and in what order should they be replaced?

Thanks for the help!

sleeve a block, forged pistons and rods, are the 3 most important id say. i would say just go ahead and build the motor. if you've got the money why wait? better to be safe than sorry.

I thought about doing the engine first, but sleeves, pistons and rods wouldnt really increase power by themselves since I cant up compression if I am going to turbo. Right now I just want to have more fun with the car, could I go up to 10 psi with everything stock in the car?

yes as long as the tuning is good you should be fine just dont beat on it. stock internals can handle a good amount of boost but not for long. i boosted a stock motor to 20 psi for like a month and half then blew . it comes down to tuning.

I know this is all subjective, but if I put on a turbo, about how much boost could I run constantly on stock everything, and not blow anything up?
