Default Need help with turbo install :)

I've used the search already, but still have some q's
I'm installing a greddy turbo kit on my 95 civic. The turbo came with the turbo outlet plugged(instead of a line running to the actuator). Should I hook the outlet up to the actuator or run the actuator to a vacuum source as I thought I read on here? What is the difference between the 2?
I have a Greddy type S BOV. I know the upper outlet is the vacuum on the BOV, but is the vacuum line that I T into on the car the line coming in next to the map sensor on top of the tb? What kind of T do I need? Thanks for any help you can give. I'm going to install my kit in about 7 hours and I appreicate any info

Aloha!!!
Sup Nate...you stay in kona? Right on! I'm from kona...but I goin school in oregon right now...I think I seen you on da speedhawaii page. So you going turbo, sweet. I just went turbo about 2 days ago. It's freakin awsome.

Well to answer your questions...I hope I can help. The difference between running the vac line from the actuator to the turbo or a vac source on the mani is that if you run it to the turbo, it will open a little sooner because it's reading the pressure at that point, instead of what is actually in the manifold. So if you have an intercooler and you loose 2 psi because of it. The turbo will see 8 psi of boost...while the manifold will see 6 psi. Me personally, I did mine to the turbo because I didn't want to tap so many things into my manifold and because my actuator is set for 8 psi, and I only wanted between 6-7 on my stock internals...so I did that to run a little less boost. My BOV vac line, I ran to the brake booster line. It's the one that runs right above the master brake cylinder, it's a larger line. Or another common place is the fpr. I don't know the size T you'll need, I just found one off of a car in a junkyard.

Hope that helps. Represent da Big Island!!!

Aloha man! You like Oregon? I'm going to be heading back to the mainland for school as well. you are going to wish you were here when the big isle cruise comes up!

Ah, I see. I think I'm going to hook it up to the turbo too.
Oh ok. I picked up a brass T at napa today, so hopefully I'll be able to find the line and tap into it See you around here and the speedhawaii board.. Thanks for the help.

Yeah brah...Oregon's ok. I like come home already. I'm gonna grad in June, hopefully. And then I might bring my car back Kona. Or I might end up in Oahu...we'll see.

Where you goin school? What H.S. you went to, Konawaena? I when grad 1999. Yeah, I wish I could be there for the cruz. I was just looking at da Big Island Car Show Party page...miss da local chicks brah.

Brass T huh? I'm sure that the regular plastic ones would be good. Another thing that you can do...if you still need to, is just buy the adjustable T's. You just cut them to the size that you need. Napa Part # 715-1815.
