I launched about 6000 and the tires caught and i bogged to about 3750. I just cant get my 60' down. Do I need to rev higher ? Should I turn on the antilag on on the AEM ?
basic setup
car weighs 2500 with me in it.
22" slicks on 15's
stock 18 shortblock
stock b16 head
stock open diff b16 tranny
8lb flywheel
sc61 @ 10psi
~24 degrees timing @ 10psi on 94 octane
bounced off rev limiter 50' before the traps and coasted

dont do so big of a burn out, dont burn out in the water go around it and let the tires spin like two rotations so they arent too sticky.

ehh, thats the purpose of slicks...to get them sticky..
do a burnout in the waterbox, 2nd gear so u can get more speed on them...
if ur bogging, launch higher, albeit ur axles may not like you

No, I just had the gas about half way down, then went WOT as I let out the clutch as the light turned. I'm going again saturday, and I will set the 2 step to ~7500 so I get a faster launch.

radials you don't want to burn out or step in water...while slicks you do.
did you try playing with tire pressure?

I didn't change the pressure, I have them about 14psi. The track was prepped and they grab great. Maybe to great I launched at ~6000 and they just stuck and I droped to ~3700, second gear grabbed hard with no spin.

Right.. Plus with the 2 step launch you can be a WOT when launching..

Re: need help with turbo drag launch (mamaboy)
i would set the two step on 6000rpms that should be good for like 5psi off the line thats all u need
but i dont think ur axles gonna take it especialy if they stock.
22 inch slicks on 15 inch wheels not a good idea, need more side wall so u dont shock the hell out the axles. i broke axles three times with the 22s
good luck
