Default Turbo oil leak

When I took my turbo apart to paint the compressor and exhaust housings with enamel, I noticed that the turbo didn't have any gaskets or seals, is this normal? I didn't think so but decided to go ahead anyway and now the turbo leaks oil, not a lot but enough to cause burnt oil to start smoking the front of the engine bay and leak onto my downpipe. I have a T3 super 60, any suggestions on how to stop the leak? Thinking about sealing with high heat silicone.

Thanks
