Default need help....trying to see if this turbo will work...

I've done a search on this, but didn't really know what to look under....so i guess I'll just ask you guys.....i want to buy this turbo off a guy that works at CAT.....he says a guy at his job had one on a RX-7.....and all i would have to do is change the hot side housing....I'm new to turbos...it seems simple enough......anybody have any input on this....it's a dual ball bearing turbo....someone has already said it's a gt45 size....which is way to big for my motor....well just looking for some info....thanks for looking

OMFG that thing is huge! I guessing it came off a rather large diesel motor.

the turbo and exhuast wheel that comes on tghe specific turbo is DESIGNED to work for that application, you cant just swap wheels, or housings and expect it to work well. i mean its physically possible yes, but will it make it worth a dang, probably not

you need to measure the inducer, exudcer and the height of the turbine wheel. you can get a housing for it, but it may have to be custom machined.

pm TheShodan and tell him i sent you, he'll treat you right
