need help no boost
ok guys i need help. i had a ssautocrap manifold. boosted fine for the time it lasted.
the last time i saw boost it was in 4 gear and it made it to 10 pounds, then it just quit. found manifold cracked again. so now i have a revhard manifold and can't get it to boost for ****. tried a new wastegate and still nothing. checked over all ic pipings and vaccum lines still nothing.... the only thing i can think of is the waste gate vaccum that is on the compressor housing isn't pushing enough for it to open the wastegate. could i try a straight source of vaccum??? thanks ahead of time

Re: need help no boost (turbodegsi)
already tried a diffrent source of vac. still nothing. but i think i found the problem. i think the turbo charger took a **** on me. when you feel for shaft play it's not bad, but when i turn the car on and watch it spin it doesn't spin till you rev it and when you watch the turbo spin while giving it gas, then once in a while you can see the shaft just wobble. i think it's losing pressure due to shaft play leaking a little bit of oil too. good luck to the rest of you who have no boost problems. i hope a new turbo takes care of it.

yeah, go ahead and replace the turbo. my first turbo stopped spinning after a month. it was my daily driver back then, so i just drove with it on. a week later, i lubed the fins on the compressor side with some oil. started it up and it actually started to spin.
when i was replacing the turbo...i found this:
better take yours apart and check it!
