no boost...
if your wastegate falls off while your driving. and you drive 2miles. can that damage your turbo...
i was driving and i only had 5lbs of boost. then i downshifted and tried more gas and then i totaly lost boost...i got home and the wastegate fell off holding on my the vacuum line, the bottom copper ring was gone.
so i put the WG back on...i drove it this morning and i can only get 2lbs of boost now....
so did i somehow destroy the turbo?..the compressor spins fine...i havent taken the downpipe off and spun the other side yet
any suggestions

You need the bottom ring to seal the wastegate so that the system will pressurize. when your wastegate "fell off", did a chunk of the manifold go with it?
no the manifold is fine. but yeah that ring is gone.
but i see some for sale online and sum look like that ring is not even on the new ones.
thats why im stumped and point the no boost finger at other parts

um pretty sure that"ring" acts as a sealer between the wastegate and manifold and so the reason ur not gettin full boost is cuz ur losing pressure due to not having a seal, kinda like sucking through a straw that has a whole in it.. but thats just my theory i could be wrong. i would point the finger at w.e part had a malfunction nopt the other ones...

o ok. well yea get urself a new ring and see wat happens, im guessing wat uve been doin is like tryin to run an exhaust with no gaskets.. ur gonna have leaks all over the place and lose all kinds of pressure
