Default Need Help with First Build

Hey fellas, so i am having trouble getting my car to start running..Here is a little info about my setup.. Its a b16a2 fully built by slomotion here in Ohio. I recently put on a turbo kit. Ram horn, downpipe, dumptube,Wg, boost controller, fuel pump, etc. I also changed on my cams from all motor cams to gsr cams.

THE PROBLEM:
This is what its doing. Soon as you start it, it idles for like 2 seconds and shuts right back off. With even giving a little gas it still turns off.. I'm so lost!!!!!!
Could it be the timing?
If its the timing how to check with no marks being on crankpulley? We took some hangers and tried to find TDC by putting one in and watching it come up to the peak.
Is there another way to checK?
I want to get a timing light, but if the car wont stay started then how am i suppose to check.

Please Guys help me get this thing up and running.
Not looking to get any bashing, just some good advice to help me.

I have a s100 I'm right now. But have a s300. Just need to change it to have vtec and get a base map. Could this be where I'm running into issue? I don't have a base map on s100 for my turbo setup, but I figured I could atleast start it and hear it idle.

Thanks for your response. Keep the help coming

What injectors do you have in it?

If you have bigger injectors than what was in it before, and the hondata has not been re calibrated to compensate for the larger injectors, then that is why it wont idle.

I have stock injectors still on the motor. Wasn't going to change until it started and everything was running.

Have you checked your grounds?? I was having a issue with my swap starting and then immediately dying. Turned out it was the grounds on the t-stat!

Thanks. Would you happen to know the specs for it? I'm hoping this is the problem.

I will have to look into all the grounds again. The only ground I touched was from valve cover. Just so ready to get it done but want to make sure it's done right

when you do get it to start, do you have to crank it for very long to get it to start?
and does it run rough for the few seconds it stays running?

Runs smooth and starts after 2-3 seconds of cranking.

This makes me think its not a timing issue....It still could be, and I would re check it still....

Normally if the timing is off far enough to stall the motor, its a lot of hard cranking to get it started, and once its running it runs like ****.

I would revert back to checking grounds, etc.

Was it running fine all motor on the motor it has now before you put the turbo kit on? Or did you put in the built motor and put the turbo set up on it all at the same time??

It was running fine before we put turbo kit on. The motorbwa already built and had about 25k on motor. I am going to check grounds and valves like suggested. Thanks for all the help fellas.

Do not over tighten the lock nuts. And double check each adjustment you make before moving to the next set of valves, and take your time. This might help.

Good stuff. I hope that's whats giving me the issue. I have a high compression motor and I know it's not good for DD running a lot of boost. But I would like to get 350whp. And I'm almost there. Need it to start, a wideband and tune. If anyone selling a wideband let me know. Thanks again for all the help.
