Default Need help fast!!

I just installed my pistons and my turbo. The actuator arm is unhooked so no boost is being produced, but this isnt the problem. When I started up the car, I got like 3 CEL's. secondary o2, which I took care of, and misfires in 2 cylinders. I also hear a ticking sound that I didnt hear before. And to top it all off, its smokin like hell. Oh yea I am also running an open downpipe. any suggestions??

Word, make sure you have some fuel and spark. you might want to do a compression test.

As for the 02 sensors make sure you connections are soldered well, Then reset the ECU. The check engine light is becuase you have no missing link or check valves Im assuming. If you run boost on your stock map sensor it really screws with your car till you get it taken care of. (ie missing link or check valves) Other then that since your not running boost I would talk to the people who built it. Just my 02 cents.

It idles smooth. I took out the plugs and they were all black and two of them had fuel on them..... so I just went and got a new set. When I reved the motor it would start to miss and then I would get a big cloud of white smoke. It sounds like it is dumping a bunch of fuel for some reason. The secondary o2 is right next to the primary with no catalytic converter in between them, could this be causing my problems??

Could your cam timing be 180 off?

did you retard your ignition???? if not, there you go...also it's common to smoke for about 20 mintues when the turbo goes on...it should stop after that.

I havent even moved it out of the driveway and boosted.....why would I have to retard it if im not hitting boost yet? What would happen if the cam timing was off 180 degrees?? I will admit it, I did this install myself but I was very meticulous and followed all of the procedures down to the last detail.

If you had the timming off 180deg. you would have bent vlaves so its not that. and the dist. only goes on one way with the intake cam so it cant be 180 off there either.

Ok, I just adjusted the cam timing by one tooth. But I think the damage has already been done.....it runs 100% better, but it is still smoking and there is a slight tick and a loss of power.....whatta you guys think??
