+12V from inside the fuse box... just probed around till I found a connector.
GND - i used the bolt on the firewall holding the fusebox bracket in place.
Not a hatch tho... an LS integra.
PROBLEM THO... my EGT gauge needle goes crazy depending on what accessories are on.. I mean it bounces around so much I could use it as a fan. Anyone know what would cause this?
(sorry for kinda hijacking your thread).

your fuse box has ignition and battery connectors in it. they're the ones just chilling in the middle. probe, when you find one off, turn the key to on and probe again. if it's on, you've found your source.
and to the guy who posted with his hatch, check your grounds, and check to make sure your power source is still solidly connected.

light source = pull your light dimmer switch out and tap into the wire WITH constant power. I think it was red/blk on my hatch, I could be wrong, use a multimeter.
For other wires, use the five accesory male slots on top of the fuse box, again, use multimeter and tap into necessary ones. You can also tap light source from one of these.
